Fujairah

The capital of the only emirate overlooking the Indian Ocean, Fujairah houses the Bidiya Mosque, the oldest in the country. Well known for its famous “Portuguese” towers dominating the oasis, its old fort of more than 3000 years and its museum, where a visit is worth the detour! You will be charmed by the surrounding nature along the coastal road of the Gulf of Oman where you can stop on the sandy beaches of this charming region.

Fujairah City Tour (8 hours)

You will start the tour by taking the road along the coast of the Gulf of Oman on the Indian Ocean and you will discover the Al Badiyah Mosque. From there, you will climb in a few minutes to the 2 Portuguese towers that dominate the oasis. Then, photo stop at the Fujairah Fort, and if it is open, you will be invited to enter (fancy opening hours). It is towards the new Sheikh Zayed mosque of Fujairah that you will then go to admire the architecture (closed to non-Muslims). Then, to finish your day, you will go for a walk to the fish market, to discover the species of fish of the gulf and to appreciate the exotic fruit and vegetable stalls.
